When should I book a wedding planner?

Ideally, clients hire a planner before booking any other vendor. That way, I can help create an A-list team for you. If you book me before your venue, I can help with your venue contract. If you already secured your venue, it is time to book a planner! When clients come to me with most of their vendors booked, I can jump in to handle logistics, make sure your design is cohesive, and get all the information to the vendors involved for a smooth and easy wedding day. So, the short answer is: a good planner can jump in at any time in the planning process!

When do we start wedding planning?

All of my wedding planning packages begin at the time of booking. I am available to each client, no matter the package they book, throughout the planning process. I am here to answer questions, give recommendations, be your wedding planning guru, and sometimes wedding planning therapist.

Who will I work with during the planning process and on wedding day?

You will be working with me during the planning process and on wedding day. All of my wedding planning packages include one assistant on wedding day which allows my team to have eyes on every location including the getting ready area, ceremony area, reception area, etc. Depending on the scope of your wedding, I may recommend adding an additional assistant (or two!).

How do you handle weather?

Check out my blog on mountain weddings and weather here.

Have you executed an event at my venue before?

I have executed events at most of the venues in the Vail Valley and beyond. I am so proud to be included on many venues’ preferred vendor lists. However, if I have not worked at your venue in the past, learning a new venue is never a problem. As a former venue and hotel intern turned coordinator turned director, I know the right questions to ask and the important information to obtain for any venue!

Can you get me vendor discounts?

I will help you find the best vendors for your vision and budget. The best place for us to negotiate is with your venue and/or hotel room block. I pass along any discounts I receive through vendors and rental companies to my clients.

How much do your services cost?

My packages are all extremely comprehensive and start when you hire me – regardless of how close or far away your wedding is from the time of booking. Pricing starts at $8,500. Check out my services here!

Are there any hidden costs or fees with your services?

There are no hidden costs. My packages are customizable and all-inclusive to each client’s needs at the time of booking, but if you would like to add services after the initial booking, we can discuss that together. If the scope of your wedding changes, and we need additional assistants throughout the day or weekend, I will get your authorization before booking them. If I purchase something for you, and I need to invoice for reimbursement, that will be billed separately. Any purchases or additions will be verified through you beforehand.

Nothing is ever hidden or billed without my clients’ knowledge.

What is the booking process and deposit schedule?

I schedule a “discovery call” with each potential client so we can get to know each other better. During that call, I learn about your wedding hopes and dreams, along with what you expect from a planner. Following that conversation, I will send out a few different planning package options. Once you select the perfect package for you and your sweetie, I will send over our contract. The initial deposit of 50% of the planning package price is due at the time of contracting. Another 25% is due six months prior to your event and the final 25% is due three months prior to your event. You can find out more about my planning process here.
